Acrylamac is Acrylic resin manufactured by Polynt Group.There are 3 types of acrylic resin available. They are - Thermoplastics, Thermoset and Thermoset Carboxyl-Functional Acrylic Resin.

Thermoplastic general purpose resins have excellent pigment dispersion characteristics and can be used as sole film formers or modifying resins. Thermplastic Acrylic resin is also used in Furniture and Industrial sector.
Thermoset resins are designed for 2K systems with either epoxy or isocyanate cure, or 1K systems with melamine cure.Thermosetting solution acrylic resins will not cure without being reacted with a crosslinker. Uses include 2K or baking enamels, industrial maintenance enamels (2K), automotive OEM, and automotive refinish (2K).Their main characteristics are:hard, durable and chemically resistant finishes; superior water resistance; gloss retention.
THERMOSET CARBOXYL-FUNCTIONAL is Conventional solids carboxylated thermosetting acrylic resins are designed to be crosslinked with epoxy resins for can and metal decorating coatings.They provides: Excellent chemical resistance; good balance of hardness and flexibility; excellent metal protection properties.

Polymac water reducible resins are produced by the same synthetic process as other polyesters. Careful raw material selection provides for the introduction of acid functionality on the polymer backbone, which allows the resin to be thinned with water.

Polynt Composites’ ArmorFlex® 953 Series gel coats are high performance products formulated for the fiberglass industry. They are primarily formulated for marine and sanitary applications,but should be used in any application where water and chemical resistance are needed. ArmorFlex® 953 Series also have exceptional gloss and buffing characteristics. While offering these benefits,the ArmorFlex® 953 Series gel coats have retained the important construction application qualities expected from Polynt Composites gel coats,such as resistance to porosity,tearing,and color separation; sag resistance; consistent liquid properties; excellent patchability; and more. These all add up to higher quality appeal in FRP parts made from Polynt’s ArmorFlex® HIGH GLOSS BUFFBACK® gel coats. ArmorFlex® 953 Series gel coats have enabled customers to meet and surpass all requirements of the American National Standard for plastic bathtubs,shower receptors and shower stalls,ANSI Z124.1,.2 and .3 –1995,Sec. 6.1.1. Gel coats in the 953 Series require only the addition of the proper amount of the appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure. ArmorFlex® HIGH GLOSS BUFFBACK® gel coats are available in the same wide range of colors as other POLYCOR® gel coats. Refer to Polynt’s POLYCOR® Color Card for color selection. Polycor® NPG Sanitary PA White 9199 - high reactivity NPG based gel coat offering high resistance to porosity, chemical stain resistance and very good UV resistance. Available in White and off White shades. It is generally used in mass transports applicatons.

Polynt Group SMC LPA 2000 R27 is a sheet molding compound based on an unsaturated polyester resin class “A” grade reinforced with glass fibers. This SMC has been developed for body panel application, with good mechanical properties and excellent surface. Good varnish adhesion and excellent gluing are other peculiarities of SMC LPA 2000 R27. SMC LPA 2000 R27 is formulated according to RoHS, REAC regulation SVHC and WEEE European legislation.

Duramac® 204-1036 is a positive-drying tofa alkyd that has excellent gloss and color retention. It can be combined with amino resins or used directly in air-dry systems to give excellent exterior durability. Manufactured in North America. All components of this product are listed on the DSL.

Rezimac® 12-1222 is an epoxy ester resin designed for either general purpose air-dry or baking primers and maintenance coatings. Coatings based on this resin exhibit excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, as well as adhesion and hardness. Manufactured in North America. Polymac® 5900 is a carboxyl-functional polyester resin designed for cure with TGIC in a 90:10 ratio. The resulting coatings exhibit excellent exterior durability, flow and mechanical properties, along with better hardness and solvent resistance than powder coatings based on a 93:7 system. By physical blending coatings based on polymac® 5900 and polymac® 5400, matte finishes can be achieved. Polymac® 5900 is TMA-free.

Polycor® 947 Neutral Base have been developed for the fiberglass industry where reduced burn characteristics are needed. When properly applied, 947 series gel coats will meet ul 94v-0 requirements. Sfp gel coats are formulated with a brominated polyester resin system. Federal, state or local regulations may limit their use in certain applications. Check with the appropriate governing agency. Since the flame properties of sfp gel coats in the cured state will vary depending on catalyzation, ultimate cure, and the laminating materials used, it is suggested that the user submit samples of the entire composite for testing by an independent lab. Polynt’s 947 series gel coats are designed for interior, non-water immersion service only. Because these gel coats are formulated with a brominated polyester resin, they do not have good resistance to UV and/or water attack. These gel coats are ready to use, easy to spray, sag resistant, fast curing and require only the addition of the proper amount of an appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure. Sfp's are available in many visually appealing colors. Certain custom color matching is available on request.

OPTIPLUS 40-8091 - Single component tooling resin that allows for rapid mold building by infusion. Resulting tools have excellent heat resistsance,dimensional stability and exceptional mechnical properties while also being light weight. Product is MACT compliant with a longer gel time than 040-8089.

POLYCOR® TOP COAT BR WHITE 9199 - A pre-accelerated top coat based on Isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin. It is cured using MEKP peroxide.This TOP COAT product is formulated to be applied to the back surface of laminates to provide a tack free surface finish. It should not be used as a gel coat. This topcoat is formulated to meet the rigid requirements of transportation,boating and sanitary applications.

Polycor® 998 Neutral Base enamels are formulated to be used as topcoats on fiberglass laminates. Enamels are very similar to gel coats except they cure tack-free on the open surface. Enamels are used to seal and hide a substrate. Normally they are used as interior finishes and yield a pigmented surface. Polycor® 998 series enamels were primarily developed for marine applications; however, they can be used in any FRP application where high performance characteristics are desired. Polycor® 998 series enamels produce a hard, tough, durable coating that reduces maintenance on composites parts. Polycor® 998 series enamels cure to a flat finish. Standard enamels should not be used for water immersion service due to potential water spotting and water blistering. Contact a sales representative for a recommendation if water immersion is required. Polycor® 998 series enamels meet the EPA national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants NESHAP for both marine manufacturing and reinforced composites production. Polycor® 998 series enamels contain wax. The wax is essential to yielding a tack-free surface in the top coating application. The wax also helps to suppress the volatile organic compounds emitted in to the air. Together the low VOC or hap content and wax results in:reduced monomer emissionsless odorsmoother sprayed film less orange peel less overspray due to the wax, Polycor® 998 series enamels should not be used as an in-mold coating where they will be backed by laminate or other materials. Delamination could occur. Enamels require only the addition of the proper amount of the appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure. These enamels are available in White or any of the Colors listed in the standard gel coat color card. Special Colors are available upon request.
