Momentive's CoatOSil™™ 7030 Addressing Critical Coating Properties additives portfolio provides a broad range of products to address a large range of performance needs in the coatings industry. CoatOSil™ additives can improve coating processability and help enhance surface appearance. Momentive tailors the structure of each CoatOSil™ additive molecule and produces a variety of grades with differing utility in water or solvent borne coating application, whether the most critical properties are related to foam control, anti blocking, wetting, slip or flow and leveling.

CoatOSil™ 7001E silicone-polyether block copolymer can enhance the appearance of solvent-borne coatings, especially two-component acrylic-polyol isocyanate cured coatings. The addition of CoatOSil™ 7001E copolymer can improve the final cured coating’s distinctness of image (DOI), film clarity and film coalescence, and can also readily accommodate recoating.

CoatOSil™ 7602 coatings additive is a silicone copolymer with a polyethylene-oxide (EO) pendant side chain. The silicone portion of the molecule can help provide benefits such as good mar resistance and antiblock capabilities. The EO component enables ide compatibility with water-borne coatings and inks. This chemical structure makes CoatOSil™ 7602 coatings additive an excellent candidate for water-borne coatings and inks requiring a low coefficient of friction (COF) for increased slip.

CoatOSil™ 77 coatings additive. It generally promotes a uniform finish and its air-release capacity can help to minimize defect formation. In addition, it can enable formulations to generate exceptionally low surface tensions - even when used in low dosages.

CoatOSil™ 7605 coatings additive has been shown to provide these same performance enhancements to powder coating formulations. Unlike most others in the CoatOSil™ line of additives, it is the waxy solid nature of CoatOSil™ 7605 coatings additive that can allow it be incorporated into powder coating formulations.

CoatOSil™ 7600 coatings additive is a silicone polyether copolymer with a pendant structure. It has been incorporated as a wetting agent or co-emulsifier in industrial and decorative water-based coatings.
