GENIOSIL® XL 10 is an alkoxyvinyl silane compound. When exposed to moisture, the silane undergoes hydrolysis, resulting in the release of methanol. This hydrolysis process leads to the formation of silanols, which have the ability to react with each other and form siloxanes. The applications of GENIOSIL® XL 10 include marine and protective coatings, plastic additives, and plastic crosslinking.

WACKER® Silicate TES 40 WN is an ethyl silicate polymer. It is a low-viscosity liquid that provides approximately 41% of silicon dioxide (silica) upon complete hydrolysis. WACKER® Silicate TES 40 WN is used for the precipitation of polymeric SiO2 structures (silica) upon complete hydrolysis, with ethanol being produced as a by-product.
