Polymers are electrically non-conductive, and have a strong tendency to accumulate surface electrostatic charges. The addition of Antistatic master batches reduces the surface resistance of the end product and avoids the accumulation of static charge. Anti-Static Additives are added to plastics to reduce or eliminate a static build up. Anti-static additives work by lowering resistivity and are capable of neutralizing the surrounding static field.
