The SILPURAN® product range comprises HTV solid and liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and room-temperature-vulcanizing grades (RTV-1 and RTV-2). These high-end silicone rubber grades meet the stringent demands of the health-care industry. All products have passed selected ISO 10993 and USP Class VI tests, and so also meet the high safety standards imposed by the health-care industry. Polyimide (PI) is a group of high performing polymers known for their exceptional chemical, thermal, and mechanical performance properties. These materials demonstrate exceptional thermal stability in high and low temperatures and are extremely flame resistant. PI Glide™, our PI / PTFE composite, is a high lubricity polyimide blend for applications that require lower surface friction yet do not require the performance of pure PTFE. PI Glide™ maintains broad chemical resistance and good dielectric properties in addition to its reduced coefficient of friction. PI Glide™ is available in tubing and as a coating for over-the-wire (OTW, insulated wire) applications. For insulated wire, PI Glide™ provides a low-friction wire for easier deployment or insertion into tubing. With PI Glide™ tubing, inside diameters offer low resistance to inserted devices or tools (pushability) while the outside remains bondable without etching. PI Glide™ can also be produced in a layered composite construction with our conventional polyimide or with PI Glide™ alone. Composite layering polyimide and PI Glide™ allows users to further tailor polyimide tubing or coating properties.

Our glass fiber reinforcements are 10 or 16 microns in diameter and milled to lengths ranging from 120 to 470 microns. They are used in composites to increase mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural and impact strength. They are also used to increase dimensional stability and minimize distortion at elevated temperatures. Milled glass fibers are compatible with all thermoset and thermoplastics resins. Surface treatments are available that may enhance performance. Microglass milled fibers are E-glass filaments hammer milled to various bulk densities. Microglass is used as a filler/reinforcement in composites to increase mechanical properties (tensile, flexural and impact), improve dimensional stability and minimize distortion at elevated temperatures.

OrelTech’s unique process allows printing and aerosol spraying of highly conductive platinum thin films, high surface area structures or non-connected nanoparticle islands. Printed layers undergo short development (curing) using plasma treatment resulting in a thin fine pure platinum structure. OrelTech inks in liquid form do not contain nanoparticles and are significantly environmentally friendlier than the alternatives on the market. Lack of nanoparticles also allows them to be much more cost-effective than other conductive inks.

ELASTOSIL® LR liquid silicone rubber products are two-part silicone rubber grades which can be injection molded on fully automated machines without the need for secondary processing. They are generally platinum-curing and vulcanize under heat and pressure. As a rule, the A component contains the platinum catalyst while the B component consists of the crosslinker. They are ideal for high-volume manufacturing and so help to keep unit costs down.

Exolon® sheets are a range of transparent and translucent polycarbonate sheets featuring extremely high impact resistance - an outstanding property that they maintain over a wide temperature range.

ELASTOSIL® is an all-rounder for countless applications. Silicone rubbers consist essentially of silicone polymers and fillers. They cure at high temperature (HTV/LSR grades) or room temperature (RTV grades) with suitable reactants, forming a three-dimensional structure and transforming the uncured compound in a plastic state into an elastomeric rubber. Silicone elastomers are flexible at low temperatures and resistant to heat and aging (UV radiation and ozone). They are easy to process and have good mechanical properties that remain unchanged over a wide temperature range. They have a neutral taste and are biologically unreactive.

In addition, we have well-experienced foaming and molding technologies, product design skills and customization technology therefore we can propose finished products (moldings) as our solutions.

Polyimide (PI) are a class of high performing polymers recognized for their outstanding mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. Polyimides typically exhibit consistent properties through high and low temperatures and possess very good dielectric traits. These thermally stable polymers are biocompatible for use within the body and are sterilizable by several methods. Polyimides are also very resistant to abrasion and have very good wear characteristics. Polyimide can be applied as a coating for over-the-wire (OTW; PI insulated wire) applications for both medical and non-medical uses. Polyimide provides a low friction surface for ease of pushability (deployment) of PI insulated lead wires and can be applied in extremely thin coatings. PI Glide™, a PI / PTFE composite, is an alternative for applications that require a more lubricious surface but do not require the performance of pure PTFE. PI and PI Glide™ coated wire are also available in a layered or composite construction allowing further customization of properties.

Fibertec micas are platy minerals. Mica is generically a complex group of aluminosilicates occurring naturally as plates or sheet-like forms. Fibertec micas can be surface treated to enhance performance in various resin systems. Fibertec mica is used as functional fillers providing reinforcement in thermoplastic and thermoset resins to improve flexural modulus, tensile strength, impact strength while minimizing shrinking and warping at elevated temperatures.
