SERISOFT® is a range of color composites based on sericite and various surface treatments. Serisofts are also available without the colorants. The non-colored Serisofts can be used as texturizers and fillers in formulations containing Serisoft® colors. Serisofts have a soft and smooth skin feel. Sericite is a mineral with similar shape and composition as muscovite mica, but in comparison with traditional mica based composites, Serisofts give softer and more transparent application and they appear whiter. Serisoft® products are platelet shaped particles giving good skin adherence. As the particles are platelet shaped and sized between 5-15 microns, Serisofts provide a matte appearance upon application. Micapoly® UV Crystal Zn 40 by The Innovation Company is comprised of Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Ethylene/VA Copolymer, Isododecane, Titanium dioxide and Acetic acid ethenyl ester, polymer with ethene. It is commonly used as Sunscreen Agent and Uv Filter for a variety of applications in Color Cosmetics and Sun Care.

Chemland Aristo ST is a UV-cut powder which is a functional product with UV protection on plate shape powder. A uniform surface treatment improves UV protection.

NS Boost is a ceramic-like platelet of Mica and Silica that boosts the effectiveness of sunscreens by as much as 35% depending on formulations. Due to its particulate shape NS Boost effectively coats the skin and helps to spread sunscreens evenly, minimizing the "holes" that are created when sunscreens are unevenly spread on skin. NS Boost helps to quench excited electrons produced when UV light comes in contact with particulate (ZnO, TiO2) or organic sunscreens. NS Boost does not affect the absorption range of sunscreens, so UVA and UVB sunscreens will absorb in the intended range but with higher absorption. This allows for use of lower levels of sunscreens, which will decrease whitening in Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide systems.
