HALOX® 570 is an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for use in waterborne industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. HALOX® 570 is especially effective along weld seams and, in some cases, can also be used in solvent-based coatings and UV-cured systems. HALOX® 570 may be used in formulations based on waterborne acrylic latexes and co-polymers, styrene/acrylic latexes, acrylate epoxy esters, 2-pack epoxy systems, alkyds, alkyd/acrylic blends, and 1 or 2-pack polyurethane. HALOX® 570 may be used in both waterborne primers and direct-to-metal topcoats. In direct-to-metal coatings, HALOX® 570 has a minimal effect on gloss reduction.

HALOX® CZ-170 is a versatile pigment used in protective coating systems to inhibit corrosion and tannin staining. It is a great replacement for zinc oxide and can be used in high-gloss and thin-film applications due to its finer particle size and narrow distribution. With a gloss of over 75 units at 60° and a film thickness of less than 1.0 mils, or 25 microns, HALOX® CZ-170 is a great option for a variety of coating needs. It can be used to protect both metal and wood substrates, making it a universal option for coating systems.

HALOX® 630 is a liquid organic corrosion inhibitor for solvent-borne protective coatings on metal surfaces. It may be used in solventborne clear or pigmented coatings and in systems such as 2-pack epoxy systems, high-solids epoxy esters, alkyds, acrylic resins, and 2 pack polyurethane primers. However, in bake systems, the temperature should not exceed 150°C. It should be noted that yellowing may be observed with reactive isocyanates. HALOX® 630 provides superior corrosion resistance even over poorly prepared surfaces, such as adherent rust or oil contamination.
