SperseStab™ 1425 is a high-molecular-weight phenolic antioxidant containing a phosphonate located para to the phenol. This orientation provides excellent color and low gas fading in a UV-stabilized antioxidant. The calcium salt acts as a soluble catalyst, especially for the esterification of rosin esters. Naxcat® TSA-95 is the strongest of our organic acids and is the most suitable esterification catalyst for the production of phthalates and other plasticizers. Aromatic sulfonic acids are created by sulfonating aromatic compounds with sulfuric acid, SO3, or oleum. They are similar in strength to mineral acids like sulfuric acid, but they are particularly useful for organic reactions where an inorganic, mineral acid may cause charring, oxidation, or an unwanted chemical reaction.
