TYTAN™ TNBZ is a very reactive primary zirconate that will hydrolyze immediately in contact with moisture. TYTAN™ TNBZ is mainly used as a catalyst for esterification, trans-esterification, and olefin polymerization (Ziegler-Natta). TYTAN™ TNBZ is very suitable as an adhesion-promoting and cross-linking agent for hydroxylic compounds or heat and corrosion-resistant coatings.

Chemical Family: Ketones, Zirconium Compounds

Functions: Adhesion Promoter, Catalyst, Coupling Agent, Crosslinking Agent

Product Highlights

Borica is committed to providing the chemical industry with a complete range of high performance catalysts delivering to your site through our global logistic network. Our catalysts are supplied to the world's manufacturers of:

Acrylates and Methacrylates:

TYTAN™ titanates increase alcohol conversion and avoid undesirable side products.

Plasticizers and Polyester Polyol:

TYTAN™ titanates can increase production of phthalates, adipates and trimellitates by up to 50% vs. conventional acid systems.

Replacement of Tin Catalyst:

  • Low cycle time
  • Low odor and low color due to better reaction selectivity
  • Easy removal of catalyst through hydrolysis and lower filtration time
  • Easy recycling of excessive ester or alcohol
  • No heavy metals, omission of product washing and very low COD to production effluent
  • Increased thermal stability
