MagnaPearl® is a range of mica-based titanium-coated pigments that exhibit a high degree of whiteness combined with brilliance and hiding. They are available in a wide variety of particle sizes creating extraordinary optical effects ranging from a fine-grained luster to a bold silvery-white sparkle. MagnaPearl® effect pigments are pearlescent pigments that are specially engineered. They are available in a variety of particle sizes. BTC’s effect pigments find use in a wide field for the coloration of plastics. MICACLAD F.C combines high-aspect ratio reinforcing cosmetic grade micas with the added advantage of an FDA compliant pigment sealed with an FDA compliant binding system. The result is a safe non-dispersing pigment, a vibrant color enhancement to the particle creating effects ranging from a subtle luster to a full simulated stone, the opacity of the flakes is sufficiently high to retain the reflectance in both aqueous and polymer based systems. Giving color fast pigment dispersions on a reinforcing mica particle could reduce raw material costs dramatically.

Our Timiron® line of silverwhite and interference pigments adds sophistication to virtually any formulation. The versatile pigments add an extra dimension of pearlescence to cosmetics or personal care products. The majority of our Timiron® silverwhite pigments is characterized by variable titanium dioxide layers on natural or synthetic mica or aluminum oxide platelets. Our silverwhite pigments vary in particle size distribution, ranging from 1 – 15 μm (Timiron® Supersilk MP-1005) to 20 – 180 μm (Timiron® Ice Crystal). Depending on their particle size and pigment composition, they display different silverwhite lustrous effects ranging from subtle to satiny, pearly, metallic, or even sparkly.
