Nylon 6 & 66 are both synthetic polymers called polyamides. These Nylons are semi-crystalline and possess good strength and durability for demanding applications. Under the umbrella of our NyLux® series, is our EcoLux® line which offers various grades of recycled Nylon polymer. While the chemical structure of 6 & 66 differ largely in their composition of atoms, they both offer the following similarities in our NyLux® Series: Our NyLux® Series offers high mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness, good fatigue resistance, high mechanical damping ability, good sliding properties, excellent wear resistance, good electrical insulating properties, good resistance to high energy radiations and good machinability.

ErcrosBio® is truly a "biological" bioplastic: the source is "bio" and the end product is also "bio". It is based on PLA (polylactic acid) and PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoates polymers and copolymers family) and is made from renewable vegetable raw materials (biobased), such as the sugar cane.

NORYL GTX blends polyamide (PA) and modified polyphenylene ether polymer (PPE) technology. It combines the dimensional stability, low water absorption and heat resistance of PPE polymer with the chemical resistance and flow of PA polymer. The result is an extremely chemically resistant material with the stiffness, impact resistance and heat performance required for on-line painting. The low density of unfilled NORYL GTX resin can provide part-weight savings of up to 25% over glass or mineral filled resins.

This semi-crystalline thermoplastic construction material is a real bundle of energy: On the basis of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), products from this division are particularly suitable for use in the electrical and electronics sector. In this area of ​​application, the strengths of RIALOX ® B, such as good electrical insulation properties , are ideal. In combination with glass spheres, minerals or reinforced with fibers, the specific properties of PBT and PET are optimized. In addition to fire protection products, this product line also includes tough-modified types, including improved hydrolysis resistance.

EXTEM™ Resin portfolio of amorphous thermoplastic polyimide (TPI) and polyetherimide (PEI) resins offers a powerful combination of outstanding elevated thermal resistance up to 280°C Tg, high strength, stiffness, and creep performance up to 230°C, broad chemical resistance including chlorinated solvents and eliminates the draw-backs of semi-crystalline materials, imidized thermosets, and competitive amorphous thermoplastics which can require post-molding curing or crystallization. In addition, EXTEM™ resin is inherently flame-retardant without the use of halogenated additives that can pose an environmental risk. EXTEM™ is available in transparent and opaque custom colors, as well as glass filled grades. In the near future, EXTEM™ with additional fillers will be available through SABIC LNP™ Compounds to provide wear resistance performance, electrostatic dissipative properties, enhanced dimensional stability, and more. EXTEM™ resin portfolio is extremely versatile allowing SABIC to design products that can offer design engineers exceptional flexibility and freedom.

UBE is the only manufacturer in Japan that produces Nylon 12 with integrated manufacturing from raw materials. This product is known by the name UBESTA. It is a unique material that combines the basic properties of nylon with the following characteristics. Lower water absorption with excellent dimensional stability. Excellent performance at low temperature. Superior in impact resistance. Excellent in process-ability, thus suitable for molding the parts designed with complex shape. Superior weather resistance.
