BC 5105 is a clear, unfilled, low viscosity laminating system. This heat resistant resin exhibits excellent wet out, reasonable working time and may be used at room temperature without postcuring. For use above 150°F a post-cure is required. Post cure for applications requiring temperatures above 150°F can be accomplished in an oven or in use by a gradual heat rise; 2hours @ 150°F, plus 2 hours @ 250°F, plus 2 hours at 300°F. BC 5105 can afford consistent use to 300°F if required. Does not contain VCHD or MDA. Typical uses include constructing vacuum form tools, Injection and compression molds, RTM and RIM molds, and matched dies.

HK Research R0229 resilient, acrylic modified isophthalic casting resin was developed specifically for use with 2,4 Pentanedione Peroxides to offer a faster curing and demolding system for densified casting manufacturers. The use of this special catalyst with the R0229 resin will give the molder castings that will approximate the cure of the BPO-cured resin systems without the amber color usually associated with the BPO-cured systems. White and light pastel-colored castings of R0229 using 2,4 Pentanedione Peroxide do have a slightly green color due to the decomposition products of the catalyst. This green cast is not readily evident in darker solid colors or dark granite castings.

This product is a polyurethane system. After use please close the containers carefully. The product can be subject to color variations due to raw materials, but these color variations have no influence on the quality and the properties of the product. Seal porous mold surfaces first (ebalta mold sealer). For optimum mold releasing we recommend a special release agent (like T1-1), which can be applied easily with a brush or be sprayed. Releasing of the mold 2-3 times, evaporate for about 20 min. after each releasing.
