We like niches, as this is precisely where we can best develop ourselves and the potential of our products. We are the partner for custom-tailored chemical solutions. We’re always very close to our customers and the major changes in the industries of the future. We provide the crucial connection across many areas of application – and we have been doing this for more than 150 years. Chemistry is everywhere in our world and it is anchored in the things we need daily. We offer a broad range of high-performance chemical products for a better daily life, for mega-trends, and future technologies. We optimize our products with our own research and think ahead for the benefit of our customers. We analyze and test them in our laboratories and fine-tune them in our own Application Technology organization, and finally we synthesize and blend them in our production facility at our Heilbronn site. Short paths, empathy, and inexhaustible innovative power are our distinguishing characteristics. At Brueggemann, quality and quality assurance are more than a promise – they are our passion. Naturally we seek and find the niche not only at our historical location in Heilbronn. We are family business that focuses on continuity but also dynamics, and that builds strong roots and worldwide distribution networks. Locations in Germany, the USA, and Hong Kong also assure our success at this.

Matrix has grown organically and by acquisitions over 23 years to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of raw materials to the rotomoulding industry. We have always believed that our unique focus on this fantastic process means we are well placed to offer the best technical sales and support in the business. One of our key objectives is to bring fresh ideas and exciting new materials to the market and expand the range of products that can be rotomoulded. We have strong technical roots and like to work in close collaboration with our customers. We also have close partnerships with our suppliers. Some of whom are the world’s largest petrochemical companies. We offer one of the widest ranges of materials and several of our key grades have been developed by us under our ‘design for roto’ concept. These are made to our own recipe and produced exclusively for Matrix. Our rotomoulding technical centre is based in the UK. As well as a wide range of sophisticated testing equipment, pilot-scale manufacturing and colour-matching the technical centre also has a production-scale carousel rotomoulding machine. This is used daily for new product development and testing and to help customers with trialling. Recently we have also installed a new high output dual ultra-mill which will be available for toll processing and the production of other non-rotomolding powders. We have further technical facilities in Poland, Australia and Asia. We are one of the largest suppliers of coloured, compounded powder to the rotomoulding industry in Australia and New Zealand. In 2010 we acquired the business of Vanglobe and in 2015 we acquired the business of Hills Polymers.

"In 1972, AKZO developed its first para-aramid. In 1982 it was decided to start with its commercial production. In the meantime, the new fiber had been renamed Twaron, and forecasts for the product were better than ever before. In 1986, the new plants in Delfzijl and Emmen began production. The first spool, which was made using raw materials from Delfzijl, came off the spinning machine in May 1986. Twaron entered the market one year later. In 2000, Teijin Ltd. took over all Twaron activities. This marked the start of a series of successful and ambitious investments and expansions. Teijin Aramid now markets four different brands of aramid worldwide. Twaron is by far our strongest brand. Since April 2017, all aramid activities within Teijin Ltd. have been merged under one joint aramid business unit, called Teijin Aramid. This was a special and historic step within Teijin, and a compliment to the entire aramid organization. With the addition of our Teijinconex neo plant in Thailand, and our Teijinconex and Technora plants and two R&D centers in Japan, we are now more than ever a strong and international organization. Teijin Limited, our Japanese parent company and the holding company of Teijin Group, is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. Teijin Group has some 150 companies and around 16,000 employees spread out over 20 countries worldwide."
