Potential oil and gas applications include downhole equipment such as drilling and completion tools, as well as industrial equipment including pumps, valves and compressors. Kalrez® 0090 has been certified by two independent laboratories to meet rigorous requirements for resistance to RGD. In addition to demonstrated RGD resistance, Kalrez® 0090 seals provide superior performance in regard to chemical and temperature properties. Chemical resistance: Kalrez® 0090 is resistant to chemicals encountered in the oil and gas industry, including sour process streams containing H2S. Broad temperature capability: Kalrez® 0090 retains good physical properties up to temperatures as high as 250°C (482°F) and down to 21°C (5.8°F). Under pressurized conditions, in laboratory tests, Kalrez® 0090 has demonstrated low temperature performance down to 40°C (40°F).

Gabriel Phenoxy PK™HP-200 is a micronized powder–grade Phenoxy resin with a particle size of approximately 110 microns. Phenoxy resins (poly hydroxyl ethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesion and cohesion strength, and excellent vapor barrier properties. Phenoxy resins also react with cross-linkers like isocyanates, phenolic and melamine resins along the backbone hydroxyl groups. PKHP-200 provides for ease of incorporation into liquid resins due to its high surface area; recommended levels of PKHP-200 incorporated into epoxy resins are 5 to 25% depending on the desired mix viscosity.

Gabriel Phenoxy PK™HW-35 is a waterborne anionically-stabilized colloidal dispersion of phenoxy resin PKHH designed for thermoset coatings and adhesives. The dispersion is a non-Newtonian fluid at room temperature and exhibits very slight thixotropic behavior. Phenoxy resins (polyhydroxyethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesive strength, and vapor barrier properties. Phenoxy resins may be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins, or phenolic resins. Crosslinked phenoxy resins exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion on many substrates including steel, aluminum, glass, carbon fibers, and plastics such as nylon and polyester (PET). The recommended level of crosslinking range from 5 to 20 phr based on resin solids. PKHW-35 is compatible with most waterborne polyurethanes and acrylics at pH’s greater than 6.5. PKHW-35 is incompatible with acidic materials; low pH media can cause loss of dispersibility and precipitation of the base resin. The addition of PKWH-35 to ambient cure 2k waterborne formulations can improve ultimate film hardness, shorten dry-to-touch times, and improve gloss. Physical properties can be further enhanced with the use of ambient-cure crosslinkers such as aliphatic isocyanates, carbodiimides, polyaziridines, and epoxy silanes. Crosslinkers such as alkylated phenolics and melamine’s are readily dispersed in PKHW-35 to provide shelf-stable, single pack, thermoset formulations. All properly formulated coatings of PKHW-35 display excellent flexibility and surface hardness. PKHW-35 typically contains less than 12% by weight volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) including non-HAP ethylene glycol butyl ether (butyl cellosolve, Glycol Ether EB) and dimethylethanolamine.

Phenoxy resins (polyhydroxyethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesive strength, and vapor barrier properties. Phenoxy resins may be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins, or phenolic resins. Crosslinked phenoxy resins exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion on many substrates including steel, aluminum, glass, and carbon fibers, and plastics such as nylon and polyester (PET). Phenoxy PKHH may also be formulated in single-pack epoxies containing latent hardeners, such as dicyandiamide, providing improved toughness and adhesive strength on substrates when properly cured. Phenoxy PKHH is soluble in many polar, aprotic solvents such as MEK, cyclohexanone, and glycol ethers.

L(+)-Lactic Acid Technical Grade is a commercial production of lactic acid and is typically done by fermentation. There are two optical forms of lactic acid existing, whereby Jungbunzlauer has chosen to produce pure L(+)-lactic acid by traditional fermentation of natural carbohydrates. This product is an acidity regulator with descaling and antibacterial properties. It can be used in a wide range of industrial, institutional and home care products. This special technical grade of lactic acid satisfies customers' needs in cleaning and detergent formulations. It is available as 80% and 88% aqueous solution and is approved as natural ingredient for detergents by ECOCERT.
