Elvanol™ 71-30 by Kuraray is a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It shows excellent resistance to oil, grease, water and solvents. It offers high tensile strength, flexibility, high oxygen barrier and film forming characteristics. On evaporation of water, transparent films are formed which have high tensile strength and tear resistance. The binder characteristics of Elvanol® 71-30 offer excellent adhesion to porous and hydrophilic surfaces. It is widely used in the paper industry at the size press and calendar stack, and in adhesives tackified with boric acid. Recommended for paper and paperboard, as a component in industrial adhesives for bonding paper, textiles, leather, in bag adhesives and pastes. It is also used in corrugated container board, laminating adhesives which are used in the manufacture of solid fiberboard, linear board, spiral wound tubes and cores and laminated specialties. It complies with FDA.

Polyplastics Group Topas® 8007X-10 is a highly UV-transparent version of our 8007 series of injection molding resins. Like the rest of the 8007 grades, 8007X10 is a glass-clear amorphous polymer with outstanding moisture barrier, chemical resistance, high purity and a non-reactive surface making it an excellent choice for diagnostic and analytical products. It transmits ultraviolet light at lower wavelengths than other polymers. Analytical results are more accurate with pure TOPAS COC and its higher UV transmission for more precise analysis in contact with sensitive chemistries.
