Our HP series of foams range in density from 20 to 32 pounds per cubic foot and are highly recommended for 1K, 2K, 3K, and 4K ROV's. SynFoam HP is available as 6” x 12” x 24” fully cured blocks. The blocks may be further machined into different sizes and shapes by the end user to meet the necessary specific tolerances and requirements. Our syntactic foam is easily bonded together with the use of our syntactic adhesive to form large structures. If you have a specific design for use with SynFoam HP we also provide final module fabrication services. Services include machining, assembly, and finishing with a quality marine based paint.

CORAFOAM® U 150 is used as Polyurethane rigid foam PUR. can be cut with almost any type of tool. As a result, Divinycell HM is an extremely tough product, capable of absorbing high dynamic impacts and slamming loads. Divinycell HM´s elongation exceeds the requirements of ISO 12215, GL and ABS rules to allow for reduced safety factors in structural calculations, providing a lighter, yet strong structure. Divinycell HM’s high compressive properties provide excellent resistance to denting and skin wrinkling of thin skins. Divinycell HM offers a high operating temperature, thus reducing the risk of print through on dark hulls.

Pet Foam is a thermoplastic core material suitable for a variety of sandwich applications to increase performance and reduce weight. It is used in sandwich panel applications in railway wagons and in shipyards and for wind power applications. It is easy to work with and has good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. It is suitable for a variety of processes including infusion, prepreg and pressing.

Fine cell foam minimizes excess resin absorption and provides durability during handling and processing. TYCOR® W0.1 engineered core materials optimize weight, stiffness and strength in infused applications enabling structures that can be made lighter, less expesively and more reliably than old generation core materials.

SynFoam SI is a RTV silicone rubber based syntactic foam that can provide for continuous exposure up to 350oF. The system is suitable for both electronic potting and encapsulation. SynFoam SI is a closed cell foam that is easy to cast in place and will provide a smooth surface. SynFoam SI is ideal for shock and vibration dampening applications requiring a lightweight, flexible material with excellent thermal and electrical properties. SynFoam SI grades are available as 1 gallon and 5-gallon kits. We also provide custom coloring of SI products. Divinycell is a high strength, closed cell, co-polymer foam with excellent insulation properties. It is especially suitable as insulation in low and cryogenic temperatures, featuring very low thermal conductivity. Resistance to hydrocarbons makes it the perfect material for LNG storage insulation. Divinycell has a long track record as insulation in LNG Carriers as well as bottom insulation in land based LNG storage tanks. A special grade, Divinycell CY, is approved rigid insulation for the GTT (Gas Transport & Technigaz) NO96 design both as insulating and supporting type and have exceptional compressive properties parallell to the plane. Easy cutting and machining is another attractive feature of the foam, appreciated by manufacturers and installers.

Divinycell HCP grade meets the demand for a high performance, low density buoyancy material with excellent characteristics. It is widely used in submarines, subsea buoyancy units, ROVs, diving bells and impact protection structures. As a result of its excellent hydraulic compressive properties and closed cell structure, it has very low buoyancy loss and water absorption under long-term loading conditions. HCP stands for Hydraulic Crush Point and is defined as the point of pressure in Bar, where the material when subjected to an increasing pressure of 1-2 Bar/sec has lost 5% of its initial volume. The design of subsea buoyancy applications is complex and consideration has to be given to the required buoyancy loss and updrift over the expected lifetime and service conditions, with respect to long and short term hydraulic compressive creep, water absorption and hydraulic fatigue. Divinycell P is ideal but not limited to applications requiring demanding FST properties like public transport, architecture or commercial marine. Due to its good dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, Divinycell P can be processed with medium temperature pre-preg systems and it is compatible with most commonly used resin and manufacturing systems. Divinycell P is easy to thermoform, cut or mill.

Sekisui Plastics ST-FOAMAC HR is the heat-resistant grade offering the heat distortion temperature of 170℃.

SynFoam HT is a high performance, light weight pre-cast syntactic foam that provides the best combination of high temperature resistance and dielectric properties. SynFoam HT has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and good strength. In addition to being used for weight reduction SynFoam HT is also used in the microwave industry because of the dielectric properties which show outstanding performance over a wide frequency range up to 10 GHz. SynFoam HT is an ideal structural core material for applications that will be exposed to higher temperatures and has been used to replace honeycomb structures. SynFoam HT is chemically stable, UV resistant and does not absorb water. SynFoam HT is available as 4” x 12” x 12” fully cured blocks. The blocks may be further machined into different sizes and shapes by the end user to meet the necessary specific tolerances and requirements. Our syntactic foam is easily bonded together with the use of our syntactic adhesive to form large structures. SynFoam LFR is a two part, flame retardant closed cell syntactic resin system that is based on epoxy rather than polyurethane chemistry. SynFoam LFR provides far greater strength, stiffness, impact absorption, and shear properties than standard core materials. LFR is similar to our other materials except it adds a higher level of flame retardancy for applictaions where a flame retardant material is needed. SynFoam LFR will not absorb resins or other materials making it a good selection for use in RTM, vacuum bag, pultrusion or other composite applications. SynFoam LFR has good resistance to heat and is resistant to water, hydrocarbon fuels, and chemicals. It has excellent adhesion to metals and can be used as a gap filler or to promote metal to composite bonding. SynFoam LFR is shipped as two components which when mixed together can be poured and cast into various shapes and sizes. SynFoam LFR is available in 1 and 5 gallon kit sizes. Each kit contains an A and B side that must be mixed together prior to casting. The B side selection is dependent on the final use temperature for the material. LFR can maintain its rigidity between 100 and 150oC depending on the selected curative. SynFoam LFR does not require temperature to cure, but requires higher postcure temperatures to reach the maximum service use temperature. Please consult the appropriate instructions prior to using LFR. SynFoam provides custom fabrication of parts and can cast SynFoam LFR to size.
