Storage & Handling

- Pre-packaged urea and slow release fertilizers can be stored in closed, dry, ventilated warehouses or outdoors, protected from direct sunlight, atmospheric precipitation, moisture (rain, snow; the bag must not be placed in water and water must not accumulate on the bag).
- In dry storage, big bags of urea and slow release fertilizers can be stored in an upright position on pallets or directly on the floor with a cardboard or plastic film applied to protect the bags from smearing.
- Bulk urea must be stored in closed, dry, ventilated warehouses. Bulk urea must not be stored outdoors.
- The guaranteed shelf life of urea and slow release fertilizers stored in warehouses is 12 months from the date of manufacture, and 9 months from the date of manufacture when stored outdoors.
