- Applications
- Excellent as a heat transfer medium in closed heating or combined heating-cooling systems with forced circulation.
- Use for a maximum flow temperature of +350°C and a maximum film temperature of +380°C.
- Can be used wherever direct heating is not possible, eg distillation columns, synthetic resin production, heat exchangers in process plants, polymerisation vessels or waste heat recovery.
- Long-term use even under permanently high thermal loads.
- Excellent for gentle heating of sensitive and/or safe heating of hazardous materials.
Hints:
- To avoid oxidative damage to the heat transfer oil, the expansion tank should be pressurized with an inert gas, usually nitrogen.
- At operating temperatures in the range of the flash point (see table overleaf) a nitrogen atmosphere is absolutely necessary!
- Product compatibility must be observed when changing heat transfer fluids! Completely remove old product from the system and, if necessary, flush with new product to be filled.
