Adesiv SRL MS Gold Flex

Adesiv SRL MS Gold Flex is a single-component silane adhesive specific for bonding all types of wooden floors on cementitious substrates or on pre-existing non-absorbent floors (marble, tiles, Palladian, wooden substrates). MS GOLD FLEX, if spread evenly over the entire surface, creates a waterproofing barrier that helps prevent moisture from rising from the cement substrates.

Product Type: 1K (1 component) Adhesive, Solvent free (100% Solids) Adhesive

Application Area: Floor

Compatible Substrates & Surfaces: Concrete, Marble, Wood

Applications & Uses

Application Area
Application Method
Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
Area of Application
  • Absorbent and non-absorbent floors
  • Traditional cement screeds and anhydrite (calcium sulfate)
  • Absorbent and non-absorbent substrates for underfloor heating or cooling
  • Metal surfaces (after appropriate degreasing and application test)

On these surfaces can be glued:

  • 10 mm solid wood elements without interlocking (lamparquet) according to DIN EN 13227
  • Mosaic parquet according to DIN EN 13488
  • Solid wood with lamellas (industrial) according to DIN EN 14761
  • Solid wood boards with M / F joint with maximum width 18 cm or 20 cm with oak essence according to DIN EN 13226
  • Pre-finished multilayer floors according to DIN EN 13489
  • Cork flooring according to DIN EN 12104

MS GOLD FLEX if applied uniformly and homogeneously (forming a continuous layer) can act as a vapor barrier exclusively for the above types of parquet with tongue / groove joint and on unheated laying surfaces with residual humidity up to 4% corresponding to the 85% ambient humidity.

Product Application and Removal

Application / Tools: Notched trowel

Cleaning tools: Solvent GR7, when the product is still fresh

Product Removal: Clean cloth, while the product is still fresh

Limitation of Use
  • The substrate to be treated must comply with the DIN 18356 standard
  • Always use adequate individual protection systems
Preparation of the Support

The substrate to be treated must be compact, dry, clean, free from detaching parts such as residues of wall paints, powders, waxes or the like and in compliance with the DIN 18356 standard. Before laying, always check the humidity of the substrate and of the wood with suitable tools. The humidity measurement of the substrate must be done in depth (approx. 2-3 cm) with a hygrometer with carbide vials in order to exclude the possible presence of highly hygroscopic substances (such as pumice, vermiculite), which can release moisture contained in them resulting in swelling of the floor. The humidity must be <2% for traditional screeds and <0.2% in anhydrite (calcium sulfate). Do not lay on screeds that are not protected from possible rising damp (always interpose an adequate vapor-tight sheath). On low-porous or calcium sulfate-based screeds, it is advisable to mechanically sand the surface and vacuum up residues of dirt, dust or detaching parts. Dusty or damp cementitious substrates must be consolidated with primers (such as our PRIMER WB PU), which promote adequate adhesion of the adhesive.

Application

Since the product crosslinks by exploiting water vapor, the best hardening conditions are obtained with Environmental Humidity (RH%) values between 35 and 80%. Avoid using in case of low temperatures (<10°C) and low RH% values (<35%). These conditions can lead to a significant increase in cross-linking times and not guarantee correct hardening and bonding. The product is ready to use. Apply MS GOLD FLEX on the surface with a special notched trowel evenly and then lay the parquet by exerting adequate pressure. When the product is still fresh, it is advisable to remove any glue residues using a cloth. Always use adequate individual protection systems.
