- Preparation of the Support
The substrate to be treated must be compact, dry, clean, free from detaching parts such as residues of wall paints, powders, waxes or the like and in compliance with DIN 18356. Before laying, always check the humidity of the substrate and of the wood with suitable tools. . The humidity measurement of the substrate must be done in depth (approx. 2-3 cm) with a hygrometer with carbide vials in order to exclude the possible presence of highly hygroscopic substances (such as pumice, vermiculite), which can release moisture contained in them resulting in swelling of the floor. The humidity must be <2% for traditional screeds, <0.5% for anhydrite (calcium sulfate) screeds and <0.2% for anhydrite (calcium sulfate) screeds with radiant heating. Wood moisture between 7 and 11%. Do not lay on screeds that are not protected from possible rising damp (always interpose an adequate vapor-tight sheath). On low-porous or calcium sulfate-based screeds, it is advisable to mechanically sand the surface and vacuum up residues of dirt, dust or detaching parts. Dusty or damp cementitious substrates must be consolidated with primers (such as our PRIMER HE, PRIMER WB PU or PRIMER PA 400), which favor adequate adhesion of the adhesive.
- Application
Apply at an ambient temperature between 10 ° C and 30 ° C (different conditions can lead to a considerable variation in viscosity and drying times with not excellent results). Ambient the product before use. Pour component B into the container of component A, mixing carefully with a low-speed agitator, until a homogeneous paste with a uniform color is obtained. Spread the mixture with a notched trowel, incorporating any dust present on the substrate. Proceed with the installation by exerting adequate pressure on the parquet to make the adhesive adhere well to the entire surface. It is recommended to keep the wooden cladding at least 8 -10 mm away from the walls. When the product is still fresh, immediately remove any glue residues using a cloth soaked in our LS CLEANER as the product could damage or dull the surface of the floor if painted. It is advisable to always check the compatibility of the cleaner with the surface to be treated.
