- The fruit, Tamarind, is an elongate pod of 5 to 15 cm long with a dark brown bark, woody and brittle. The seeds grow in numbers from 3 to 8 and are surrounded by a dark and acid pulp which contains sugars (33%) , tartaric acid (11%) , acetic acid, oxalic acid and citric acid.
- Moreover, it contains adequate Vitamins A, B and C, Carotenes, Potassium and Magnesium. Vitamin A in tamarind keeps hair and skin moisturized through increased sebum production.
