Mode of Action

New AE Protek NPB effectively reduces the surface tension of water, thus the wetting of surface is improved. This phenomenon makes the mixture of phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin very effective in penetrating the cell membranes of microorganisms, resulting in optimized antimicrobial efficacy.

Microbiological Efficacy

New AE ProTek® NPB has a broad spectrum efficacy against Gram Positive, Gram Negative, Yeast, and Fungi.

User Guide
  • Emulsions: Use at the level of 0.5% to 1.0%, New AE Protek®NPB can be added both in the hot or cold stages of production.
  • Clear Solutions: New AE Protek®NPB is soluble at levels up to 1.0% and therefore can make clear products.
  • Wet wipes: New AE Protek®NPB offers good preservation results at 0.5% to 1.0% use levels.
