AFCONA-3035 is a special designed additive for UPE and Epoxy systems. It has very good compatibility with high polar systems and performs very well especially in UPE.
AFCONA-3035 can be used in water and solvent-based coatings. AFCONA-3035 particularly is recommended for UPE as well as Epoxy coating systems. It helps to prevent curtain-rupture in curtain coating applications.
In UPE and epoxy system, AFCONA – 3035 gives below properties.
1) improves leveling
2) offers better compatibility with less side effects like craters and contaminations compared to unmodified polydimethylsiloxanes which are widely used in UPE system.
3) prevents irregular surface shrinkage
4) resistant to hydrolysis

AFCONA-3035 can be added at any stage during the production process. When added during the dispersion process, it speeds up wetting.
