AFCONA-3522 should be added at the end of the batch preparation. For easier incorporation AFCONA-3522 can be diluted with water. Shake well before use!
- Addition and Dosage
0.1– 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.1 – 0.5% based on total formulation.
Note : Amount below 0.4% will not cause intercoat adhesion problem.

AFCONA-3522 is an emulsion of an organically modified polysiloxane, emulsified in water. Basically, the silicone used in AFCONA-3522 is a hydrophobic polymer that after drying gives water resistance and slip performance to the coating. AFCONA-3522 promotes the general surface characteristics and improves the following properties:
- anti-crater and substrate wetting
- leveling
- low foam stabilizing in water
- slip and surface smoothness
- water-repellency
AFCONA-3522 is recommended for use in all kinds of water-based coatings.

AFCONA-3522 should be stored in a cool dry place and protected against frost. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 2 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
