AFCONA – 3700 is a highly fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic polymer. It has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones. AFCONA - 3700 reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility with most solvent-based systems and minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solventbased coatings. Due to the low surface tension, it gives very good substrate wetting. Normally recommended to combine with a silicone based leveling agent to gives optimum performance on leveling, anticrater as well as flow control.
AFCONA – 3700 is widely used especially in refinish topcoats as a good prevention for crater formation caused by different environment on application sites. Beside this, it improves the vertical leveling in this application strongly. AFCONA-3700 is an excellent anti-crater and substrate wetting agent.
AFCONA-3700 is especially suitable for:
1) Stoving enamels based on alkyd, acrylic and polyester resins.
2) Polyurethane coatings.
3) Two-pack epoxy compounds.
4) Air drying alkyd systems.
5) UV coatings.

AFCONA-3700 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
