AFCONA - 5280 is in overall the best conventional wetting and dispersing additive. It is economical and still gives very good performance in pigment stabilizing. The performance of AFCONA – 5280 is close to high molecular weight dispersing agents.
AFCONA – 5280 has below special properties and recommended in below systems:
1) Very good performance in alkyd based systems like NC, stoving paint and airdrying alkyd.
2) Suitable for oil and solvent-based printing inks. It has very good alcohol solubility.
3) A good co-grinding agent for all solventbased system.
4) Combined with the universal resin AFCONA – 1102 recommended for the preparation of universal pigment concentrates. These pigment concentrates have below advantages:- Easy incorporation (even by hand stirring) in NC, thermoplastic acrylic, CAB and polyurethane
- Economical, because AFCONA – 5280 is supplied in nearly 100% active ingredient version
- Good pigment stability for most pigments, even with PV23

- Storage Condition
AFCONA-5280 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
