African Origin Oils Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is cold-pressed and filtered from the seeds of the Kalahari Melon. The Kalahari melon is indigenous to the Kalahari Desert, which stretches across Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. During dry periods, the melon becomes an important source of food and, more critically, water. Unlike any other natural personal care oils, the oil from the seeds of the Kalahari Melon is extremely high in both essential fatty acids and natural Vitamin E. It contains 70% Essential Fatty Acids, and 2,800 mg/kg natural Vitamin E – that is two and five times more than in Argan oil, respectively.
