Akron Dispersions

"Akron Dispersions was founded in 1958 by Al Bosshard, a chemist at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. Firestone was producing synthetic latex for its customers but required waterbased chemical dispersions to vulcanize the latex. Mr. Bosshard saw a need and began the company with the help of his sons and a single attritor. Their first operation began in the basement of an old building in downtown Akron, Ohio. Today, the company is located on 50 scenic acres with 2 lakes and abundant wildlife, in west Akron. We produce a wide range of waterbased dispersions and emulsions as well as custom designed products specifically tailored to our customer’s needs. We ship our products to Canada, Mexico, Southeast Asia, South America, India as well as the entire US."
