"Alden & Ott Printing Inks Company was founded by Joe Alden and Henry Ott in 1957 as an offset ink manufacturer. Like most small companies, they saw an opportunity and had a vision and a belief that they could do it better. Starting with just a few select printers, they developed better formulations with better performance and delivered them with better service. The company began to grow.

Henry Ott, who was the company chemist, decided to pursue other interests. Joe Alden purchased his shares in the company and continued to grow the business. His passion for excellence was passed on to his four sons, Joe, Tom, John and Ted.

In the early 80s the company formed a new printing blanket converting division to offer additional services to their customers. Mr. Alden's son Joe took over the management of Premier Blanket Services, Inc. and today it is the largest independent converter of printing blankets in the country.

Alden & Ott Printing Inks Company is now a proud extension of the hubergroup family. hubergroup is one of the world's leading specialists for printing inks, coatings and press room auxiliaries, currently comprising 40 companies and 130 sites. This successful, family-owned enterprise with more than 250 years of experience and expertise in the printing inks industry manufactures top quality products for packaging, commercial and newsprinting. In 2016, the Group with its global workforce exceeding 3500, generated sales of approximately $885 million.

Alden & Ott Printing Inks Company has transformed itself many times since 1957. Always anticipating their customers’ needs, the company expanded its products from heat-set inks to non-heat-set inks, UV inks, and now flexo inks. Today, Alden & Ott is an all-purpose ink manufacturer developing custom solutions for both the offset and flexo printing markets.

The inks are designed to eliminate needing different ink systems for every substrate causing excessive inventory. G-Verse inks have good water resistance, adhesion and rub resistance on most treated or top-coated materials in the narrow web market today. The inks perform well on solids, screens, and small text with high line anilox rolls with doctor blades. G-Verse inks can be top-coated for imprintability with various types of printers.

Water-based printing inks are one of the most environmentally friendly products on the market today. At Alden &amp; Ott we have taken the next step in making them even more of an asset to our industry and our environment by replacing acrylic resins with a naturally produced raw material from soybeans. The complete soy water-based line includes Soy-Flex paper inks,*Soy-Grip film inks, and Soy-Therm for indirect and direct thermal paper applications.

Alden &amp; Ott Printing Ink Company G-Force Film Inks is a film ink system that runs more like paper ink with good re-wet ability on screens, small type, and solids. The inks can be used on *film, foil, and paper allowing the printer to maintain quick turnaround while reducing their inventory. G-Force inks are formulated to have adhesion and scratch on a wide variety of corona-treated or top-coated films and foils. The inks are virtually maintenance-free eliminating common issues of film inks such as drying too fast or too much additive being added to them causing the job to block or offset. G-Force inks maintain pH and viscosity stability both on and off the press.
