This initial motivation has become our leitmotif: StruXell applications start where competing products stop ..... Struxell

In order to overcome this problem, we have adapted the shape of the cell to ideally make it a circle. This was also our first geometry chosen for the FleXell , but its realization was rather complex. After analysis and simulation of several geometries, we opted for the compromise of the fish scale shape. This shape, in addition to its originality and elegance, allows, thanks to the increase or decrease in the distance between two fixed points respectively on the upper face and on the lower face of the honeycomb panel to obtain an overall deformation which has become synclastic. .. our objective. For example, it is possible to cover a dome, cylinder or cone with FleXell .


Flexell

Alkar Technology Standard Honeycomb Aramid-Nomex / Phenolic is Widely used in all industrial sectors, the 'Nomex' honeycomb is available in a multitude of cell diameters, from 1/16 to 1 inch, several densities and 3 cell geometries depending on the desired deformability.

A simple, economical and recyclable solution, Alkar Technology Standard Honeycomb Polypropylene is characterized by small diameter cells. The cells are covered by a synthetic non-woven material which either allows the resin to be attached during the laminating of the composite skins, or the glue to be attached if it is desired to glue the skins in any other material (wood , aluminum, stone ...). Since the web is joined to the cells by fusion of the PP, the shear strength is excellent.

We can supply Alkar Technology Sandwich Panel based on the polypropylene honeycomb to which glass fiber reinforced PP skins are welded. Available in natural color and black, all thicknesses are possible. Two thicknesses of skins are available which makes it possible to modify the stiffness properties.
