Technical Features

An acrylic polyol with 3% OH (calculated on non-volatiles). Good hardness, tough but flexible, high build and gloss, excellent chemical resistance, chalk resistance, good light fastness and good gloss retention.

Dilutabilty

Can be thinned to a solid content of 30% with ketones, esters, ether esters, toluene, xylene and solvent naphtha 100. The storage stability of the respective solutions must be tested.

Only PU grade solvent (< 0.05% water, free of other reactive impurities) should be used.

Compatibility

SETALUX 1279BA-70 can be mixed with the following isocyanate and SETALUX D A types; individual cases must be tested for their suitability.

Desmodur N 75, N 3390, N 3400, N 3600, XP 2410, Z 4470, L as well as SETALUX D A 365, A 450, A 565, A 665 & SETAL D RD 181. It is generally miscible with most CAB grades.

Nevertheless, the compatibility of the combinations must always be tested.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Handling

200kg per steel drum. Storage should be under cover, out of direct sunlight and avoiding extreme temperature changes.

Under normal storage conditions (5 - 35°C, away from extremes) sealed, unopened containers of this material would have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

If it is stored for longer than 12 months, it is recommended that the product is rechecked for suitability in the intended application.
