Dermol 109 is a highly branched low molecular weight ester. This nonlinearity enables it to exhibit unique characteristics such as extremely low freeze point, low viscosity, good penetrating power, excellent solubility and compatibility in a variety of ingredients such as esters, volatile silicones, mineral oil and vegetable oils. The unique properties of Dermol 109 lend themselves for use in numerous cosmetic applications; for example, skin toners, bath oils, mascara removers, light creams and lotions. In addition, Dermol 109 acts as a replacement for volatile silicones in antiperspirants where it reduces tackiness and prevents clogging in aerosols and as a resin plasticizer in hair sprays.
