Dermol CL, a nonoily soft waxy solid emollient, is derived from both vegetable and natural ingredients. The alcohol is obtained from the vegetable source while the Alpha Hydroxy Acid is naturally derived. Dermol CL is especially useful in creams, hand and body lotions, and colognes and after shaves where it imparts viscosity and results in a velvety feel to the skin. It is also soluble in alcohol and, therefore, is an important ingredient in the preparation of colognes, after shaves and lotions. Dermol CL is known to reduce drag and tackiness of resins such as carbopols and in roll-on antiperspirants.
