Recommended Uses & Known Applications: Dermol DPG-2B is an emollient ester/solvent derived from dipropylene glycol and benzoic acid. These two moieties provide a unique solvency and plasticizing power which is beneficial for solubilizing resins, waxes, polymers, benzophenones and other sunscreens. Also, it can be used as a color dispersant. As a plasticizer and solubilizer, it is useful for hair sprays and nail enamels. The ether group enhances the spreadability, while the aromatic ring enhances its solvency power. In addition to these recommended uses, other suggested applications for Dermol DPG-2B include greaseless creams, vanishing creams, lotions and make-up removers.
