Dermol LL yields a rich, velvety emolliency to numerous cosmetic formulations such as hand lotions, sunscreens, after shaves and lipsticks. Because of its free hydroxyl group, Dermol LL is dispersible in water, permitting its use in bath preparations. Dermol LL is also soluble in alcohol, therefore, it is of value in colognes, after shaves and body lotions. It is known to reduce the tackiness in roll-on antiperspirants.
