Polyderm PPI-GH is a polymeric emollient conditioner where the triol is a derivative of natural castor oil and glycerol. The presence of the hydroxyl and the ether groups enhance water solubility and make it self-emulsifiable in water, while the castor oil group imparts emolliency. This unique combination widens the scope of Polyderm PPI-GH as an emulsifier, conditioner and emollient. The unique properties of Polyderm PPI-GH lend themselves for use as a petrolatum substitute in skin care products such as creams and lotions. It leaves a soft, nontacky satin finish on the skin.
