Nequat DAS-D is a highly concentrated liquid quaternary/amine salt compound from the naturally derived mild dimer acid. It is extremely effective as a hair conditioner, especially in hair rinses and conditioning shampoos. It is also recommended for creams and lotions. The presence of the four positive charges on the hydrophobic part makes Nequat DAS-D an outstanding quaternary with enhanced substantivity and compatibility with anionic surfactants and improved water solubility not associated with regular quaternaries. Since it is cationic with four positive charges Nequat DAS-D will increase softness and manageability of skin and hair and also act as an excellent antistat to prevent flyaway hair.
