Wickenol 160, a branched light moisturizing emollient ester, displays unique physical characteristics as a result of the branching. These positive features include low closed point, low viscosity, good penetrating power without oiliness and excellent solubility and compatibility in a variety of ingredients such as esters, volatile silicones, mineral and vegetable oils. Wickenol 160 is recommended for numerous applications in the cosmetic and personal care use market; i.e., “oil free” make-up, mascaras, and vanishing creams. This product helps to offset the greasy texture of mineral or vegetable oil, petrolatum and lanolin. It also acts as an anticlogging agent in antiperspirants and provides a very soft, luxurious feel in skin creams and after shaves.
