Summit B.t.i. Briquets

1 of 1 products in this brand
"For more than 35 years, fast-acting Summit™ B.t.i. Briquets have been the industry standard in extended release B.t.i. formulations for control of mosquitoes in the larval stage. Few products match their record of reliable and environmentally benign performance. Summit B.t.i. Briquets release larvicide B.t.i, a natural bacterium found in soils, which mosquito larvae ingest, dying before they become adults.Available through AMVAC as part of its balanced product line, which includes the adulticides: DIBROM® Concentrate, TRUMPET® EC and Summit B.t.i. Directions for USe

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistant with its labeling. Summit B.t.i. BRIQUETS/DUNKS are formulated to release effective levels of Bti for a period of 30 days or more under typical environmental conditions. The floating action of the briquets/dunks will ensure that active material is released at the surface as well as gradually settle to the bottom. These briquets/dunks may be used in all types of mosquito breeding areas. To prevent briquets/dunks from being flushed out of certain treatment sites, they can be anchored using string tied through the hole in the center or staked in place. Summit B.t.i. BRIQUETS/DUNKS can also be used for pre-flood treatment. If the briquets/dunks are applied to dry areas which are known or suspected to become breeding sites when flooded, such as woodland pools and abandoned swimming pools, the briquets will float to the surface when flooding occurs and start releasing the active Bti material. Alternate wetting and drying will not reduce their effectiveness. General Information; Mosquito Dunks float on water and will keep on working for 30 days or longer under typical environmental conditions. While floating, they slowly release a long-term, biological mosquito larvicide at the waters surface. This larvicide gradually settles in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there. Mosquito Dunks may be used in all standing water sites where mosquito larvae grow. Alternate wetting and drying will not reduce their effectiveness.
