- Our Ingredients: Organic Butter
- We believe that the quality of food is determined by its ingredients. Our process begins with pure, organic Northern California butter and ends with a Ghee unlike any other on the market.
- We source exclusively from California’s Northern Coast. Our suppliers are small-scale, award-winning Dairy Producers, committed to animal welfare, independent craftsmanship and sustainable dairy practices. Their cows are never given GMO feed and are allowed free access to the lush pastures of this region.
- Our Ghee reflects the pasture, climate, and animal stocks of this coastal prairie. The addition of probiotic cultures compliments our unique terroir, begetting a ghee that is singularly flavorful, fragrant and nutrient dense.

- Our Methods
- We honor the Indian process and make authentic, traditional, artisan Ghee.
- Our Ghee is hand-crafted in our peaceful kitchen to the ritual mantra of Maha Mrityunjaya, in a process that takes between four and five hours.
- Our small 25 gallon batches allow a degree of caramelization impossible in large-scale manufacturing, leaving a fully-developed flavor, aroma, and hue.
- What began as a once-a-weekend, home-kitchen production has grown to include a team of ten, but every jar is still lovingly filled by hand.
- What is Ghee
- Ghee is the very best fat one can eat. It is the pure, distilled oil of butter, comprised of a broad spectrum of fatty acid chains. It is made in a traditional Ayurvedic method, using slow cooking over an open flame to remove impurities and to enhance beneficial properties.
- Born over 8 millennia ago and used as the primary cooking oil throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent, Ghee is now enjoying a renaissance in the West.
- For many, Ghee is a beloved relic of the Ancient World, but for many more: Ghee is the new face of fat.
