"Angibaud & Spécialités, formerly Cie du Guano de Poisson Angibaud created in 1877 in La Rochelle, takes its name from Louis-André Angibaud who developed an industrial process for the biological transformation of fish into fertilizer: Guano de Poisson. Unique in its composition and mode of action, this natural fertilizer will be the specificity of Angibaud, the only company to transform fishing by-products into fertilizer. For his part, Alphonse Derome, farmer, convinced of the importance of the biological life of soils, is experimenting with methods of fertilization using natural organic bases. In 1860 he created the Société des Fertilizers Derome in Bavay. It is the first company to transform animal raw materials into organic fertilizer. Thanks to the improvement of its manufacturing processes, Derome is developing its own know-how and is becoming a benchmark for many farmers. From this merger of these two companies in January 2010, AD&S, a specialist in alternative fertilization, was born."
