Applications

Apcoflex® P3880 4C powder is recommended as a secondary binder for applications in gaskets, jointing sheets etc. to improve the low temperature properties, flexibility, oil and solvent resistance etc. P3880 4C also finds application in the manufacture of flexible Gaskets and Brake liners & brake pads in automotive and railways. The addition of Apcoflex Powders helps in improving abrasion resistance and reducing noise in these products.

Apcoflex® P3880 4C may contain traces of residual monomers, which may be released during processing at high temperatures. Therefore adequate ventilation should be employed in the processing areas.

The powder is packed in plastic bags and is placed in plastic coated multiply cardboard boxes. The boxes are then put on Wooden Crates and shrink wrapped for easy transportation and handling.

  • 20’ FCL: 12 pallets 10,800 Kg / 23,810 lb

Recommended to store in original packaging, away from direct sources of heat and sunlight. These powders will have a minimum of 12 months shelf-life from date of manufacture, if good storage practices are maintained. However, they have a tendency to agglomerate over a period of six months.
