A water-soluble corrosion inhibitor for the protection of steel pipeline internals stored dry, especially after a rust & scale removal treatment. This product is ideal for use after treatment with any of our rust or scale removal products. This product provides enhanced protection against re-rusting in such lines stored empty but capped. The DS-110X (1:4) version is pre-diluted for easier handling in off-shore situations by providing a reduced viscosity. As this product is highly likely to be used on off-shore oil installations, it has been registered as required by the U.K. Offshore Chemicals Regulations, where it has been placed in Group E. A CEFAS Template is available on request for use in UK and Netherlands Waters (as DS-110X).

The product should only be applied as a solution made up in clean, potable water. Do not mix neat product (or strong solutions) with any other treatment product. Use at a solution strength of about 1 – 1.5 ppt. That is, 1 to 1.5 liters per 1000 liters (cubic meter/ ton) of water. Pump solution through pipework to be treated, ensuring that all internal surfaces are thoroughly wetted with the solution. Drain solution down as far as possible out before closing up the pipework. (NB – Do not rinse out – allow to remain wet or to dry naturally on to internals).
