"In 2000, AquaFix started with the goal of developing great biotechnologies for the people who manage wastewater treatment plants. We want to help them maintain a better biomass and clear effluent by eliminating the need of harsh chemicals. Many of our products were developed with a wastewater operator to focus directly on their needs. This allowed us to create products that solved the source of the problem and not just suppress it temporarily like most wastetwater bacterial additives.

At AquaFix, our first and most important role is that of a research lab. At our state-of-the-art biological laboratory, we dedicate our resources to studying the whole spectrum of wastewater issues. The knowledge we gain from our research is used to develop natural and sustainable biotechnologies.

The AquaFix laboratory is also used to directly analyze water, mixed liquor, algae, filaments and foaming samples from wastewater operators. AquaFix offers two levels of testing as well as ATP testing, which is a Biological Stress Index test that determines what portion of your bacteria is alive. Our testing will determine exact filaments or algae life forms that occur in your wastewater facility, how they got there, and how to treat them. Among this we also perform a 16 point water analysis including ammonia, alkalinity, and phosphate levels."

AquaFix Bug On A Rope – Lift Station Grease Control is a unique bacterial block for lift station grease control. The center of the Bug On A Rope is filled with instant impact pseudomonas bacteria that have a big impact in the first weeks. The biostimulants on the outside are rich in oxygen and key nutrients that ensure the grease-eating bacillus are released with maximum activity. Hang Bug On A Rope under the incoming flow and it will slowly degrade, releasing the two powerful systems of bacteria into the lift station. These bacteria not only help consume grease, but also digest BOD and lower H2S in the collection system.

AquaFix GreaseZilla – Grease Removal is the fastest-acting grease control product for heavy grease and old hardened accumulations. It combines hydrophilic bacterial cultures with a fast-acting biocatalyst that quickly breaks up and digests grease in lift stations. It can also be used in kitchen drain lines and grease traps. Unlike caustic or solvent based grease treatments, GreaseZilla will not result in a slug of grease being pushed down stream. The entirely biological action allows the grease to be irreversibly digested. And it is safe for the applicator as well as equipment.

AquaFix GreaseJett – Sewer Grease Degrader was designed specifically to enhance sewer jetting and can be added into the tank of your jetter truck. Blended into GreaseJett is the synergy of several different biocatalysts that have the ability to liquefy and then break up grease deposits and degrade accumulations down to their elemental form. GreaseJett does not move grease down the line, it catalyzes grease. GreaseJett is allnatural and safe for the environment.

AquaFix Ana-Zyme G – Biocatalyst for anaerobic breakdown of FOG is formulated to provide immediate reduction of fat, oil, and grease in anaerobic digestors and lagoons to avoid issues with grease caps and foaming. The biocatalysts in Ana-Zyme G rapidly speed the breakdown of complex fat molecules into simple short chain fatty acids which then break down to acetic acid, a compound used in methanogenesis. Ana-Zyme G can degrade a range of fatty acids such as linolenic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic as well as fish oils, triglycerides, dairy, and egg fat. The production of short chain fatty acids is very important as part of the acidogenesis–methanogenesis process.

AquaFix Qwik-Zyme L – Grease Degrader incorporates multiple types of lipid degrading biocatalysts to provide dramatic hydrolysis of fat, oil, and grease (FOG). These catalysts speed the breakdown of complex fat molecules into simple short chain fatty acids that are quickly consumed by the native bacteria. Hydrolysis of fats is often a rate-limiting step. Digesters that deal with high amounts of fats end up with grease caps or foaming in mechanical systems. Operators often report an improvement in volatile acid concentration within two weeks.

AquaFix Qwik-Zyme L – Grease Degrader

AquaFix VitaStim Grease – Wastewater Grease Removal contains bacterial cultures along with key probiotics for chewing up high levels of grease and fatty acids. The probiotics help to maintain the population of grease digesting bacteria, as well as provide a boost to the native bacteria. Collection system operators have trusted this product for years. VitaStim Grease has been one of our most commonly used lift station products. VitaStim Grease is particularly effective in anaerobic systems when paired with Qwik-Zyme L. The catalysts in Qwik-Zyme L break fatty acids into short chains, where they are consumed by the bacteria in VitaStim Grease.
