- Advantages
- Non-reemulsifiable, pure acrylic polymer.
- Superior adhesion to cementitious substrates.
- Improves mechanical properties of cementitious mixtures – increased compressive, flexural and tensile strength.
- Improves water, salt and chemical resistances of cement mixes.
- Non-yellowing and resistant to UV degradation.
- Imparts toughness and slight flexibility thus reducing tendency to crack.
- Can be used above or below ground, exterior or interior

- Directions For Use
- Surface preperation - surface to receive polymer- modified cement mixtures must be free from dirt, laitance, curing compounds, coating, sealersrelease agents, oil and other foreign matter / contaminants. New concrete and masonry surface must be cured for 28 daysto ensure dimensional stability. Substrate should be fairly rough and absorptive. Substrate should be saturated with cleanwater at least one hour prior to application.
- Mixing - mechanical mixing is highly recommended as this produce a more uniform mix than manual mixing. An electric drill fittedwith a paddle or a pan type mortar mixer is recommended. Small quantities can be mixed manually by volume.
-
Mixtures
- Bonding slurry - after mixing, apply the slurry by brush thoroughly filling any voids or pores in the substrate. Before slurry dries applypatching material (e.G isopatch, durapatch) immediately. When bonding new to old concrete slab, the slurry shouldbe applied copiously and just immediately ahead of the concrete laying operation. For small sectional repairs, isofix canalso be used alone as a bonding agent. When used as an anti-corrosion protection for steel reinforcement, the rebarsshould be clean and free from rust or mill scale.
- Patching mortar / plaster - adopt standard construction procedures and finish with as few strokes as possible with a trowel. Start curingimmediately after finishing especially during hot and windy weather, cover with wet hessian. Alternatively use curingcompound (consult aci). Isofix- modified mixes will accept commercial oil or water-based coatings.
- Tile adhesive - spread adhesive on to the damp substrate with a trowel. Immediately fix the tiles while adhesive is still wet and tacky. Beat tiles firmly in place with a rubber mallet. For other applications, consult aci.
- Cleaning - tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with water and detergent. Mixes containing isofix arevery difficult to remove when dry
