ISOPLAS BT is used in concrete of all classes. It is used in ready-mixed, job site mixed and lightweight concrete.
- Dosage
ISOPLAS BT is added to concrete at the rate of 0.6 – 1 liter per 100 kg cement depending on the degree of the water reduction and plasticizing and set retardation required. Overdosing may result in extended retardation but ultimate strength characteristic is not affected. For a given setting time, water reduction and strength requirements, trial mixes should be carried out to determine optimum dosage.
- Dispensing
- Approximately 70% of the total amount of mixing water is added to the dry ingredients while mixing for a minimumof 45 seconds.
- ISOPLAS BT is then added simultaneously with the remaining 30% water and mixed further until homogeneous in appearance.
