White Tea is a variety of tea originated in south-east China and obtained from the first leaves of the plant Camellia Sinensis, the same from which we obtain the best known green tea and black tea. Once harvested strictly by hand, the young leaves are subjected to a minimum working process consisting only of natural drying. This manual treatment combined with the careful selection of only the leaves has made this variety the most valuable so as to be called “the emperor’s tea”. Just these characteristics which determine a greater concentration of active molecules make white tea a true elixir of beauty. In particular, the high content of polyphenols and catenins plays an important antioxidant action against the effects of free radicals and the concentration of tannins ensures significant anti-inflammatory and purifying properties useful in the treatment of oily and impure skin. The content of theine gives elasticity and tone to the skin while the remineralizing and regenerating properties help to preserve skin density.
