A major issue in potato cultivation is tuber infection with different types of scab, caused by fungi or bacteria. In the case of silver scurf, on the surface of infected tubers there are irregular beige-brown spots in the autumn season. Whereas in the case of common scab, on the surface of tubers there are initially light brown spots that become darker in time.
Scab infection causes significant disfiguration of tubers and reduced value and quality of yield. In order to protect the plants against scab, Arkop has developed AntiScab Activ fertilizer, which due to its unique composition (e.g. amino acids) activates natural defense systems in the plant and significantly increases the resistance of potatoes to scab.
Unique formulation of nutrients in AntiScab Activ, as well as their optimum composition, improves the quality of tubers, potato skin appearance and allows for high-quality crops.
