Finester 2009 is both a vegetable-based, non-ionic emulsifier/wetting agent and a surfactant that combines the cleansing properties of polyglycerol esters with the conditioning and moisturizing properties of lactylate chemistry. Finester 2009 acts as an efficient pigment wetting agent in both O/W and W/O bases. When used as a primary or secondary surfactant, Finester 2009 is the perfect candidate for formulating "Clean Beauty" personal care products. Personal Care Applications: Supports sulfate-free and non-EO claims Ideal in shampoos (with or without additional surfactants) Foaming properties make it an ideal ingredient in facial cleansers and makeup removers Body/hand wash Cleansing wipes Non-EO solubilizers Sun Care Specific Applications: Finester 2009 is ideal for dispersing high-level, mineral-based sun filters in order to produce uniform coverage for broad UV protection. As a natural stabilizer, Finester 2009 is also ideal for producing inorganic sun filter dispersions containing oils and other functional additives.

User Guidelines

Finester 2009 is a surface-active agent that can generally be added to either the oil or water phase. Due to its high HLB of 16 and due to the lactylate group which can impart variable oil
solubility depending on temperature, its generally recommended it be added to the water phase.
