APOC® 250 Fast Dry White Metal Primer is a high penetration fast dry primer that seals and stops rust from spreading. This product contains a concentration of rust inhibitive chemicals to prevent rust from coming back. Also great for stain blocking and priming other problem areas. Use prior to applying elastomeric roof coatings.

Preparation

All surfaces must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, loose or peeling paint and all other foreign matter. Rusty metal must be cleaned with a wire brush. Pressure washing after wire brushing gives best results. Mix Contents Thoroughly Before Using. Mechanical Mixing Recommended.

Application
  • For exterior use only. Apply by brush, roller, or suitable spray equipment, avoiding coating build up or puddling.
    • Note : Application to surfaces above 110°F is not recommended.
  • Dry Time : Product will dry in 2 hours in dry weather above 80°F. Humidity and/or colder weather will extend drying time. Product can be recoated immediately after drying. Do not apply when heavy dew or rain is expected within 2-4 hours.
  • For Best Results : Apply when surface temperatures are between 50°F and 110°F. In colder weather, store product in heated room (65°F to 80°F) at least 24 hours prior to application.
    • Note : Do not apply on single ply membranes such as EPDM, TPO, PVC, or Hypalon. Test small area first if there is a question of compatibility.
  • Coverage Rate : 400 sq. ft./gal
  • Consistency : Brush, Roller, or Spray
  • Clean-up : Clean tools or spills with mineral spirits or paint thinner.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken to prevent odors from entering the building. When transporting this product, ensure that lid is tight and pail secure and upright. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may cause lid to loosen and leakage to occur. Do not transport on passenger seats or inside the passenger compartment of any vehicle. Store product in the cargo area of vehicle, and secure over protective cloths to prevent damage due to accidental spills. Do not store at temperatures above 110°F. Do not reuse empty containers. Do not use in drinking water or food systems. Seal container when not in use.

Caution

Combustible Mixture , Harmful or Fatal if Swallowed. Eye, Skin and Respiratory Irritant

If swallowed DO NOT induce vomiting. Call physician immediately. In case of : Eye contact - flush with large amounts of room temperature water for 15 minutes; Skin contact - wash thoroughly with soap and water; Irregular or stopped breathing - administer oxygen, give artificial respiration and get medical attention immediately. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor or spray mist.
